Yoga Nidra translates to Yoga sleep, in fact it is not a sleep but an awakening, a state of awakened sleep. It is like floating. Floating is not something you do, it is something that happens in the absence of doing. It is the experience of being held, being carried....but it can only happen when you stop struggling to keep yourself upright. Stop doing and floating happens. Stop "efforting" and sleep happens. When you let go of any doing, everything gets done.
